When asking for commissions…

marsminer-venusspring:

- Don’t make the description too long. It’s hard to keep a paragraph of information in mind without reading it every 5 minutes to make sure the drawing is correct. Too much information/detail is a bad thing.

- Don’t Make the description too short and complain when the artist didn’t make what you wanted. If you don’t give enough information, it’s really your fault if the picture comes out in a way that isn’t to your liking.

- Don’t expect the artist to capture what your envision perfectly. Artists are just human beings, mind reading powers not included.

- Don’t complain if your commission takes awhile to complete. The artist probably has other things to do before you commission, like other commissions.

- Know what you want before you ask for a commission. It’s easier on the artist if you don’t change your mind on what you want, especially after paying for the picture.

- If something is legitimately wrong with the picture, don’t be afraid to ask the artist to correct it. Things like missing accessories or incorrect eye color, not legs being too long or hair being too poofy, this might just be the artist’s style.

Sorry if I sound like a douche or something listing these things out but I get a lot of stressful commissions because of silly things that people shouldn’t do.
